A trip to Nepal is incomplete if you have not been on a jungle safari. Jungle safari is one of the most popular tourism activities in Nepal while the mountains of the north have some of the highest and most magnificent peaks in the world; the tropical jungles of the Terai preserve some of the best wildlife habitat in the subcontinent.
There are a total of 22 protected areas. Chitwan national park, Bardiya national park, Koshi Tappu wildlife reserve and Parsa wildlife reserve are the most common areas for the jungle safari and other wildlife activities. The most exciting activities in a jungle safari are elephant back safari, 4 WD vehicle safari, jungle walk, bird watching, watching elephant bathing, and visiting the elephant breeding centre.
The best time to do a jungle safari is from October through March, when the temperature averages 25 degrees Celsius.
